Harrison Zephaniah Price
Harrision Z. Price was my great grandfather. I know very little about him, such as what he did for a living, his habits or if he was a good husband and father. I had assumed that my great grandmother Mary Ellen had died after the twins were born, because I had found nothing about her for many years researching. Recently after going over email and notes, both Jeanie Edwards and Elsie Wilson had found her grave in Mclennan county, Texas where William Price and family had resided.
These are the only photos I have for my mother's Price family. If you can add any information, it would be appreciated very much. Harrison Zephania Price is listed on the Kaufman county census as Harrison Z., but he is referred to as 'Zeph' in his autograph book . There was another H.Z. Price who died in Texarkana Texas. He was visiting there when he died, but lived in Arkansas and came from the mid-west. He should not be confused with my great grandfather, who was born in Texas and was known to reside in Kaufman, Van Zandt and possibly Mclennan County, Texas, to the best of my knowledge.

He married (1) MARY ELLEN TYLER March 07, 1884 in Canton, Van Zandt County, Texas, the daughter of ELISHA WASHINGTON TYLER and ARCENS ELLEN EADS. Mary Ellen was born October 02, 1866 in Arkansas, and died October 11, 1913. She is buried in Speegleville, Mclennan county, Texas.

A Souvenir button and his second grade report card from Canton School in Canton, Texas. He is living with his grandfather Elisha Tyler. Harvey suffered from Tuberculosis and worked as a Caretaker and Carpenter when he was in remission. He loved to gambol.

He married (2) LILLIE EMMA DALLARD March 07, 1894 in Van Zandt Co, Canton Texas, daughter of JOHN J. and MARY MITCHELL DALLARD. She was born June 15, 1873 in Hardin, Texas, and died 1909 in Sapulpa, Creek County, Oklahoma.
Note:
Although oil had been found at Chelsea in 1889, Muskogee and Bartlesville in 1897, and Red Fork in 1901, the territory was not recognized as a great oil reserve until the opening of the Glenpool field, four miles southeast of Sapulpa, in November, 1905. This oil boom fostered Sapulpa's greatest period of growth.

The more I find out about my great grandfather, I am inclined to believe he was a bit of a scallywag. Reading his autograph book, there are references to his temper and hints that he had a tendency toward trouble from time to time. My great uncle Harvey
said, "If I have a dollar and a deck of cards, I can go anywhere." I wonder if the father followed the same path?
Notice that H.Z married Lillie less than three months after the twins were born, which leads me to believe he and Mary Ellen were divorced when the twins were born.
