3.  SILAS S.3 THACKER (ANDERSON2, JOHN1) was born March 30, 1871 in Franklin Co. Illinois, and died March 13, 1940 in Yakima, Yakima, Washington.  He married Sarah Jane Johnson  October 01,1893 in Pope County, Arkansas, daughter of  Isaac Barton and Caroline Watson Johnson  She was born October 28, 1877 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee, and died June 19, 1954 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.

Obituary from Yakima newspaper 1954:  

Mrs. Sarah Jane Thacker, 76, resident of Yakima for 38 years, died Saturday morning in Portland, OR, where she was visiting with her son, Clyde Thacker.  Mrs. Thacker had left here by herself two weeks ago for Portland, traveling for the first time in her life by plane.  Mrs. Thacker had been failing in health for many years. She was born in Claiborne County, Tenn., in 1877 and came to Yakima with her husband, the late Silas Thacker in 1916.  Besides her son in Portland, Mrs. Thacker is survived by four other sons, Claude, Carl, Curtis and Corbett, all of Yakima:  two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Wagner, Reedsport, OR, and Mrs. Lloyd Hunter, Pendleton, OR; two brothers, Elija Johnson, Pendleton and Tip Johnson, Fort Collins, Co; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  The body will be returned to Yakima for funeral services and burial.  Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 in the Shaw & Suns Chapel.  The Rev. Kenneth Bomberg will officiate and burial will be in  Tahoma Cemetery.

iii. CLAUD MELVIN THACKER, b. December 11, 1902, Chandler, Lincoln County, Oklahoma; d. January 21, 1985, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.

iv. CLARENCE DALE THACKER, b. January 17, 1905, Chandler, Lincoln Coubty, Oklahoma; d. May 12, 1937, Yakima,  Yakima County, Washington.

v. CARL GALE THACKER, b. February 27, 1907, Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma; d. April 21, 1975, Westport, Grays Harbor County, Washington.

vi. CECIL CLIFFORD THACKER, b. June 28, 1910, Pendleton, Umatilla County, Oregon; d. October 03, 1950 Yakima, Yakima County,  Washington.
