CHESTERFIELD -- Georgia (Franklin) Wisehart, 84, Chesterfield, died Feb. 24, 2004, at St. John's Medical Center in Anderson after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 2, 1919, in Upland, and lived most of her life in the Madison County area. She was employed in production at Delco Remy for 28 years, retiring July 1, 1987. Survivors include five children, John Calvin Wisehart of California, Amanda Katherine Baker of Fort Wayne, Thomas Martin Wisehart of Anderson, Miranda Christine Thompson of Chesterfield and Peter Ransom Wisehart of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren, Mark Baker, Michelle Broadhuber, Teresa Thompson, Stacey Thompson and Eric Thompson; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Martin Wisehart, who died in January 1964; parents, Isaac and Dessie (Justice) Franklin; and a son, James Brian Wisehart, died on Thanksgiving in 1977. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
