The Mechanicsburg cemetery is located in Fall Creek Township, Henry County, Indiana. It is located just east of the Henry/Madison County line on US #36. The first burial was claimed to take place in the early 1830s. The cemetery has had several additions added to it over the years. There are well over 1400 burials in this cemetery. At one time there was a Methodist Episcopal Church located just north of the cemetery on the other side of the road. On February 17, 1844 the following persons were appointed trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Fall Creek; George Keesling, William Alexander, James Wisehart, William Thompson and Jacob Mogle.

Thomas Wiseheart's tombstone is very worn and hard to read. Somehow the information was taken, but the photo was not. We will get it eventually. If in fact he was 81 years of age when he passed, then he would have been born depending on birth month,  1759 or 1760

The stone reads:
Thomas Wisehart
d. Sept (1)?5, 1841 aged 81 years

Mary
 Wife of Thomas Wiseheart
Died Sept 31, 1845
Aged 76 years

Mary Addair b. 1769  m.Thomas Wiseheart  July 27, 1805 in Montgomery County, VA

*Note..  Mary's tombstone actually reads Sept 31 1845? The poem we all know ..Thirty days has September, April, June...you get the point. Is that where many have noted that she passed on the 13th?  How about proof and/or documentation?
From the Henry County Pioneer Appleton library, Maine:
Where did the date below for Thomas come from?

Thomas and  his wife Mary (Addair) Wiseheart, came to Fall Creek Township, Henry County in 1825, from Virginia. They settled on a farm near Mechanicsburg, Henry county, Indiana.
He died in
1844? and Mary died in 1845. Both are buried in the Mechanicsburg cemetery. They had seven children, the first born being James Wisehart.
